Family and Youth Leadership Summit
Join us for our 5th Annual Family and Youth Leadership Summit on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in Richmond. The Summit brings together parent and youth leaders, policymakers, community leaders, and mental health professionals to network, share resources, and discuss topics and issues relevant to family and youth support and resiliency as well as growing the family and youth voice in Virginia. In Virginia, the Family and Youth Leadership Summit is the first event of its kind focused on the issues that matter to families who have children and youth with mental health needs.
Our keynote speaker will be New York Times bestselling author and highly acclaimed mental health advocate Pete Earley. Mr. Earley will be sharing his newest talk on why engagement is the key to promoting resiliency and sharing his personal lessons learned as a parent of a child who had mental health symptoms begin in young adulthood.
The conference features two tracks — a track for parents, family members, and professionals and a track for youth to ensure that persons of all ages with lived experience have opportunities for support and leadership development.
