NAMI Virginia's 2012 State Convention
Thank you to all that attended the NAMI Virginia and VCEH Housing Stability and Mental Illness Summit on July 22-23, 2012!
In 2012 we teamed up with the Virginia Coalition to End Homelessness (VCEH). The theme of the convention was Housing Instability, Homeless, and People with Serious Mental Illness. Thanks to the support of the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, the Summit provided a unique opportunity for collaboration between our organizations and brought together individuals from across the Commonwealth to work together to coordinate efforts to create housing stability for persons with serious mental illness.
We hope you enjoyed learning from experts on developing affordable housing and delivering services, increased your knowledge on the critical components of permanent supportive housing programs, gained familiarity on how to develop the partnerships needed to create permanent supportive housing, and will continue to connect with those you met to ensure follow through on your communities preliminary local action plan!
